Rehema children’s Home is located in Nyahururu town and was started as a rescue centre for the destitute and abused girls in 2003 by Benjamin Mwaniki and his wife. For five years the couple struggled, mostly alone, with the burden of providing basic needs as well as paying school fees,that included renting of the premises for girls.
Along the way various people came and supported and then disappeared such that situation was becoming desperate. That is the time when they approached GOA to partner with them so that the girls do not go back to the streets and reverse to former abusive situations.
