The Orma tribe is found at the North Eastren and coast provinces of Kenya. At GOA, we have started a mission work among the Orma who live in the North coast.On 27th feb ,Goa nairobi team visited Garsen area. The team was composed of Bishop Thagana, Rev Philis and his 11months old son, Bro Robert and missionary Wagura.
On our way we passed through Heri Ministiers home that hosts and trains people facing persecution that is the muslum background believers. In this home the Goa ministry adopted a 17 years old girl who is from the muslim background. She is hosted here and is training and she hope to go back to her community and transform it.
Some of the cultures of this society are very dehumanizing. For example we met a sick woman who had visited diffedrent hospital but in vain. She ended up with stroke on one hand and leg. The community tried traditional medicine and the woman almost died.We met women surrounding her with jericans of water waiting for her to die and wash her the burry her. Imagine that happening to you. We prayed for her though a muslim they accepted us to pray for her in the name of JESUS CHRIST.
Our aim and goal and vission is to reach out to this community with the love of Christ and to plant a church that will bring differernt tribes together in Worship to the one and true God.
Our host in the mission field will be a missionary couple ,Mr and Mrs Kimani.
